Forged by (Sukemitsu 祐光), this katakiriha tantō stands at the intersection of martial precision and spiritual invocation. Its chisel-edge geometry, katakiriha-zukuri (片切刃造り), favors structural and theographic rigidity and simplicity, with a single bevel that resists symmetry. It is the geometry of judgment. Here, it serves a higher metaphor: the severing of delusion, the cleaving of ignorance itself.
The blade’s soul resides not just in its form, but in its breath, in a recessed horimono carved into the steel like the mouth of a shrine. From this sacred panel, the bonji for Fudō Myōō rises in relief. Beneath it, flame anchors the Immovable King of Wisdom, deity of righteous wrath, stillness amidst chaos, and unwavering clarity. The background has been delicately lowered and textured, allowing the bonji to appear as if summoned from a flaming grotto.
The hamon begins in stillness: a near-suguha line, quiet and composed. But as it climbs the blade’s length, it begins to waver, gently at first, then with greater turbulence. Like incense smoke curling upward in prayer, or a candle’s flame bending in unseen wind. It is both literal and symbolic. It rises from restraint to vigilance, from stillness to presence. The manifestation of an immovable presence.
Across time and cultures, Fudō Myōō and St. Michael have stood as divine protectors: one cloaked in flame and wrathful compassion, the other with sword drawn against darkness. Though born of different traditions, their spirits converge here, not fused, but aligned in purpose. This blade bears their echo.

その鑿のような刃の幾何、すなわち片切刃造り（片切刃造り）は、対称性を拒む単一の刃角によって、構造的かつ表意的な剛直さと簡素を志向する。
それは「裁き」のための幾何である。
ここにおいてそれは、より高次の比喩として機能する——迷妄を断ち、無知そのものを裂くという象徴として。
この刀の魂は、形のみに宿るのではない。
その「息」に宿る。すなわち、まるで社殿の口のように鋼へ沈め彫られた彫物（ほりもの）の奥にある。
この聖なる区画から、不動明王の梵字が浮き彫りとなって立ち現れる。
その下には、一条の炎が「動かざる智慧の王」を支える。
義なる憤怒、混沌の中の静寂、そして揺るがぬ明晰を体現する尊格である。
背景は繊細に落とされ、肌理を与えられ、梵字は彫られたものというより、まるで燃え盛る洞窟から召喚されたかのように現れる。
刃文は静寂の中から始まる。

だが刀身を登るにつれ、やがてそれは揺らぎ始める。
初めは穏やかに、次第に激しさを増しながら。
それは祈りの中で立ち上る香煙のようであり、また、見えぬ風に揺れる蝋燭の炎のようでもある。
それは文字通りであると同時に、象徴でもある。
抑制から警戒へ、静寂から存在感へと立ち上ってゆく。
それは「不動なる存在」の顕現である。
時代と文化を越えて、不動明王と聖ミカエルは、ともに神聖なる守護者として立ち続けてきた。
一方は炎に包まれ、慈悲を伴う憤怒の仏。
もう一方は剣を抜き、闇に立ち向かう天の戦士。
異なる伝統に生まれながらも、その霊性はここに収束する。
